Om Parkash Joginder Singh(OPJS) University provides computing lab facilities for use by K-State candidates, faculty, and staff. Two hundreds of computers are available in our university with limited free printing, a variety of software, and wireless printing from lab computers and personal laptops. These resources are provided by Information Technology. Candidates, workforce, and staff approach the PC labs, which give the apparatuses and advances to create sites, alter papers, total class tasks, convey by means of email, lead information examinations, and access library assets. A computer lab is a space which equipped computer services to a defined community. Computer labs are mostly provided by libraries to the public, by academic institutions to students who attend the institution.
COMPUTER LAB DIRECTIVES:-
OPJS University provides candidates and faculty with Information Technology (IT) labs to support learning, discovery, and service. Use of Computer Labs is a privilege, not a right, and abuses of university Computer Lab Directives or the General Use Directives may result in the loss of lab privileges. PCs in computer labs are typically organized either in rows so that every student has a comparative view of one end of the room to facilitate lecturing or introductions.
Computer Lab Rules:-
The following rules are put into place to ensure availability and maintain a positive user experience in the OPJS computer Labs.
- For more typically information, contact the Classroom and Labs, support team.
- Each candidate may only use one computer at a time.
- Peripherals and computers are not to be moved or reconfigured without acceptance of Lab and Classroom staff.
- Applicants may not install the software on computers. If you have any questions regarding specific software that you need to use, contact the Classroom and Labs support team.
- We have restricted duplicates of most manuals, so use is confined to the Lab. It would be ideal if you show the chaperon your One Card.
- A manual might be utilized for the time being by marking it out with the Lab Assistant close to thirty minutes before shutting and should be returned inside 30 minutes of opening the following day.
- Food is mainly not allowed in computer labs, though some exceptions may apply.
- In the computer lab, Drinks are allowed, as long as they are in no-spill containers.
- Behavior and activities that disturb other students or disrupt the operations of the lab are not allowed.
- Mobiles must be set to a salient mode in the lab. Lab sponsor must take their cell phone conversations outside of the Lab and Library.
- The PCs go into power spare mode, however, remain on throughout the day. It would be ideal if you make sure to log off. Programming manuals and specialized books are for use in the Lab as it were.
Points for using the labs:-
- Lab software removes all stored data after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- Candidates must be sent printouts to any printer in the university computing labs.
- Candidates save your work to an external storage device such as a USB flash drive.
Internet Cafe:-
- An Internet cafe Different from a computer lab in that reciprocally of a computer lab is mainly free for those with access, while Internet cafés charge for computer use. The term 'Internet café' is commonly used interchangeably with 'computer lab' but may differ from a computer lab in that users can also connect to the Internet using their own device and computer, and users of a computer lab generally do not require any equipment of their own.
